Cheddar Bacon Broccoli Quiche Ingredients
- 1 pie crust: Use your favorite pre-made pie crust or make a pie crust from scratch. You can also forgo the pie crust all together to make a crustless quiche.
- 6 bacon slices
- 2 cups chopped fresh broccoli: Use fresh or frozen broccoli. If you use frozen, thaw before cooking to remove as much water as possible before adding to the quiche.
- 5 eggs at room temperature
- 1 cup whipping cream: The whipping cream helps create a creamy custard. It can be substituted for half-and-half, or a mix of heavy cream and whole milk.
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese: It is best to grate your own cheese for this recipe to ensure the cheese melts and blends well with the other ingredients. You can also substitute the cheddar cheese with mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese or goat cheese if you prefer, or even use a combination of various cheeses.
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cracked pepper
Equipment Needed
- Cheese grater
- Measuring cups and spoons
- Large skillet
- Spatula
- Pie lined with paper towel
- Mixing bowl
- Whisk
- 9-inch pie plate: Only needed if you make pie crust from scratch or purchase a pre-made crust that doesn’t come in an aluminum pie pan. Prep the pie plate with cooking spray, so the quiche does not stick to the dish.

Quiche Recipe Variations
- Meats: The chopped bacon can easily be substituted for other breakfast meats, such as ground sausage, turkey or ham.
- Vegetables: Adding vegetables to a quiche is a great way to pack in extra nutrition. The broccoli in this recipe can be reduced to add in other chopped vegetables such as bell peppers, mushrooms, spinach or asparagus.
- Herbs and Spices: To punch up the flavor, add additional herbs and spices to the egg filling such as garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, parsley, green onion and more.
What To Do With Leftovers
If you happen to have leftovers, the quiche can be covered with plastic wrap once cooled and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat quiche slices in the microwave or in an oven at 350° F for 10 minutes, until heated through.
