When you need to whip up a nutritious breakfast quick, a banana peach smoothie is a go-to choice. This yogurt smoothie has a creamy texture with just the right amount of sweetness.

Banana Peach Smoothie

A peach yogurt smoothie is a great breakfast or brunch choice during the Spring and Summer months. It’s easy and quick to make before heading out the door, or when you are making smoothies for friends and family.

The peach banana smoothie easily comes together with only four nutritious ingredients; a few frozen fruits consisting of peaches and bananas of course, along with unsweetened almond milk and Greek yogurt for some much-needed protein to help keep you fuller for longer. The ingredient combination creates a creamy texture and uses the fruits as a natural sweetener.

SMOOTHIE MAKING TIP

Skip the ice when making smoothies and use frozen fruits instead. This helps create the perfect smoothie consistency and avoids diluting the flavor and creating a slushy texture. Frozen fruits are picked and stored during peak season, so the taste will be just as good (or maybe even better) as when using fresh fruits.

BANANA PEACH SMOOTHIE INGREDIENTS

Banana Peach Smoothie
  • Almond Milk: Almond milk is my milk of choice. Feel free to use any type of milk you may have on hand.
  • Greek Yogurt: Greek yogurt helps make the smoothie extra creamy and adds a hint of tart. Other types of yogurt will work as well, even flavored yogurts.
  • Frozen Mango and Frozen Banana

See recipe card for quantities.

BLENDING INSTRUCTIONS

Banana Peach Smoothie
  • Add the Ingredients: Add the ingredients into a blender; milk, yogurt, frozen peaches, frozen peaches and frozen banana.
  • Blend the Smoothie: Place the lid on the blender and blend for around 30 seconds until a smooth consistency is formed. If the mixture is too thick, add additional milk and blend for a few more seconds as needed.
  • Serve and Enjoy: Pour the smoothie mixture into a glass and top with fruit garnishes and a straw if desired. Serve and enjoy immediately.

SUBSTITUTIONS

One of the best things about smoothies is that swaps and substitutions can be easily implemented to make the smoothie just to your liking, or even to use up ingredients you already have on hand.

  • Make it Dairy-Free: Replace the yogurt with coconut yogurt, coconut cream, or your favorite dairy-free yogurt.
  • Make it Sweeter: I know some of you love a sweet smoothie! The fruit in the smoothie provides the sweetness, but may not be cutting it. Add a couple teaspoons of sugar or honey while blending the ingredients together.
  • Make it with Juice: Instead of milk, use a juice, such as orange juice, to the smoothie. This will add extra sweetness to the beverage, but will reduce the creaminess of the texture

PREP AHEAD

The peach banana yogurt smoothie can be easily served up for breakfast or brunch. Individual servings can be prepared ahead and then quickly blended when needed. To prep ahead of time, portion the fruit needed for one smoothie into individual freezer bags or containers. When you are ready to make the smoothie, just add the pre-portioned ingredients to a blender with milk and yogurt.
